GTU Reassessment Detail

Rules of Reassessment w.e.f Winter 2012 Examinations

  • For reassessment students must apply within 3 days after the declaration of the results.
  • During first reassessment if difference is less than 15% of max. marks of subject (i.e if total marks are 70 marks, then 10 marks of difference and if the paper is of 80 marks then 12 marks of difference) then no second reassessment will be done and no change of marks will be declared. But if the difference is more than 15%, second reassessment will be done and the result will be one which is nearer to the original result.
  • Reassessment is permitted only in university theory exam.
  • No reassessment will be done for Internal, Viva, practical, CEP (Mid Sem Exam) and Term Work component of the subject and also there will be no reassessment for DP-I, Mid-Sem Research Review, ITD and for Dissertation exam.
  • Student failing in more than 2 Subjects will not be eligible to apply for reassessment.
  • Reassessment can be applied for maximum two subjects per semester.
  • The result of the student revised on account of reassessment shall not entitle the student for medal/prize.
  • Reassessment is allowed only in final year semesters of B.E, B.Pharm, B.Arch, B.HM&CT and diploma course. In case of PG courses it is allowed in all semesters.
  • A student can apply for reassessment of his own answer books only.
  • For reassessment no fee shall be returned irrespective of whether the marks are changed or not.
  • Fees for Reassesment is Rs. 250/- for one subject and Rs. 500/- for every additional subject.

  • Student can apply for any number of subjects for rechecking.
  • The result of the student revised on account of rechecking shall not entitle the student for medal/prize.
  • Rechecking is allowed in any semesters of B.E, B.Pharm, B.Arch, B.HM&CT and diploma course.
  • A student can apply for rechecking of his own answer books only.
  • For rechecking, in case there is a change of marks, the rechecking fee shall be returned.
  • Fees for Reassesment is Rs. 100/- for each subject.
Instructions for Rechecking / Reassesment

Instructions for submitting re-assessment and re-checking forms

  1. Students are informed to apply for re-checking/re-assessment online through result link available on GTU website (www.gtu.ac.in).
  2. Re-checking/Re-assessment forms data are to be submitted according to date declared for each result on web site.
  3. Students has to click on apply to re-check button given on result page (GTU website) and select the subjects for applying re-checking/re-assessment.
  4. Take the print out of the selected subject and submit to institute along with the fees.
  5. Student has to verify the subject applied for re-check/re-assessment before taking its print. Once the print command is given, no edition/alternation will be permitted.
  6. . Institute has to receive the forms & fees from the students as per the date notified by GTU on website.
  7. Institute will have to Gun the barcoded forms or may enter the enrollment numbers after receiving the forms from the student for collecting student’s application database.
  8. The collected fees are to be paid in form of challan by institute only and to be forwarded through e-inward system only.
  9. Acknowledgement will be received through e-outward system of GTU.
  10. Hard copy of re-checking and re-assessment forms are not be submitted to the University. But they are required to be kept safely in the custody of institute till the GTU declare the rechecking/re-assessment results.
