Lek Ladki Yojana: The Laksh Ladki Yojana has been started by the Maharashtra Government in 2023. Under this scheme, financial assistance will be given to girls from birth to 18 years. The objective of this scheme is to promote the birth of daughters and their education in the state of Maharashtra. Girls will be provided financial assistance for their education so that no girl is deprived of education due to her poor financial condition.

Under this scheme, girls from low-income families of the state will be provided financial assistance of a total of one lakh one thousand (101000/-) rupees in different phases from birth to the age of 18 years.

Objective of Lek Ladki Yojana

The aim of this scheme is to make girls self-dependent. The aim of this scheme is to eliminate discrimination against girls in society. The main aim of this scheme is to make girls strong and powerful by providing them financial help and the benefits of this scheme can create a bright future for girls.

Along with this, the government wants to help girls from poor families through this scheme, so that these girls do not have to face difficult situations for basic needs like education. The main aim of this scheme is to encourage the education of girls and to stop gender-based discrimination against them.

Features of Lek Ladki Yojana

• Through this scheme, girls will get financial benefits from their birth and it will end the discrimination against girls.
• The amount received under this scheme will make it easier for girls from poor families to pursue their education.
• And they will not have to be financially dependent on anyone for their education.
• Through this scheme, girls will be encouraged to be self-dependent and their future will be bright.
• Girls from poor families will be able to pursue education without any hassle.

Amount and benefits received under the Lek Ladki Yojana

Under this scheme, girls will get this amount in 5 installments. The benefit of this scheme will be given to the yellow and orange ration card holders of the state. If a girl is born in these cardholder families, then an assistance of Rs. 5000/- will be given on birth. After this, if the girl starts going to school, then on taking admission in the first class, she will be given Rs. 6000/- by the government.

After this, she will get Rs. 7000/- in class 6. After that, when the girl gets admitted in class 11, then she will get Rs. 8000/-. After this, the girl will get the final benefit of Rs. 75000/- when she turns 18. A total amount of Rs. 101000/- will be received.

• The amount of Rs 101000/- will be received in 5 installments.
• If a girl is born, then assistance of Rs 5000/- will be given on birth.
• If the girl starts going to school, then on taking admission in the first class, she will be given Rs. 6000/- by the government.
• After this, he will get Rs 7000/- in phase 6.
• When the girl gets admission in class 11, she will get Rs 8000/-.
• After this, when the girl turns 18, she will get the final benefit of Rs 75000/-.
• In total, she will get Rs 101000/-

Eligibility

• To avail the benefits of this scheme, the girl’s parents should be native residents of Maharashtra state.
• And the girl should be born in a poor family, or having orange or yellow ration card.
• This scheme can be availed only by those girls who are born after 1st April 2023.  
• To avail the orange ration card, those people are eligible who are from rural areas and their annual income is between 15000 to 1 lakh rupees.  
• To avail the yellow ration card, those people are eligible who are from urban areas and their annual income is between 15000 to 100000.  
• If the annual income of the family is more than 1 lakh rupees, then they cannot avail the benefits of this scheme.

Application Process

• To apply for Maharashtra Lake Ladki Scheme, first of all get the application form of the scheme from any government department.
• After this, carefully fill the information asked in the application form.
• Along with this, attach the important documents.
• After this, submit the application firm to the Anganwadi Supervisor’s office.  
• The Anganwadi Supervisor will check the application firm and send it to the Zila Parishad office.  
• From there the list of this application firm will be approved and you will receive the information about that approval through SMS on your given mobile number.  
• After this, you will start receiving funds as per the scheme.
